Ce portrait dépeint Albert Kimball, un personnage d’importance dans l’histoire de Knowlton, qui est nommé le premier maître de poste de Knowlton en 1851. La même année, il s’approprie la Blinn Inn, originalement construite en 1849, qu’il renomme Kimball’s Hotel. Cet édifice est connu aujourd’hui sous le nom de “l’Auberge Knowlton”, ou « le Relais », qu’on retrouve au cœur du village.

This portrait depicts Albert Kimball, a prominent local figure, who served as Knowlton’s first postmaster and owned Kimball’s Hotel. The title of postmaster was bestowed upon Mr. Kimball in 1851, the same year he acquired the Blinn Inn, built in 1849, and re-named it Kimball’s Hotel. Kimball’s Hotel still stands today as the Auberge Knowlton, or “the Relais”, found in the heart of Knowlton.
