l’Honorable William Warren Lynch.

This set of books about the history of Rome comes from the personal collection of the Brome County Historical Society's first president and co-founder, the Hon. William Warren Lynch. Beyond his activities at the BCHS, Lynch was also one of the youngest members of the provincial legislative assembly and had a wide-ranging influence. This Conservative founded the Cowansville Observer, supported vital local railways, established the first fisheries, was chairman of the school board and, of course, allowed the rich history of the area to be preserved for years to come.
