This attractive large-wheeled fire cart contains a reel on which hoses were wound for transport to and from fires. Made in the late 1800s, it was sold by the Canadian Rubber Co. of Montreal, who were the country’s first manufacturers of rubber. Our cart was used by the Canadian Pacific Railway in Sherbrooke, Quebec.
