Cette belle charrette à incendie munie de grandes roues est équipée d’un enrouleur sur lequel des tuyaux ont été enroulés pour pouvoir être transportés sur les lieux des incendies et ramenés ensuite. Fabriquée à la fin du XIXe siècle, elle a été vendue par la Canadian Rubber Co. de Montréal, qui fut le premier fabricant de caoutchouc du pays. Notre charrette a été utilisée par le Canadian Pacific Railway de Sherbrooke au Québec.

This attractive large-wheeled fire cart contains a reel on which hoses were wound for transport to and from fires. Made in the late 1800s, it was sold by the Canadian Rubber Co. of Montreal, who were the country’s first manufacturers of rubber. Our cart was used by the Canadian Pacific Railway in Sherbrooke, Quebec.
