Cette plaque folklorique représente une supposée rencontre entre « Oncle » Uriah Skinner et le légendaire « Serpent de mer » du lac Memphrémagog. Elle fut sculptée en 1934 par G. Ross Gustin qui n’a pas oublié de représenter le vieux contrebandier avec sa flasque dépassant de sa poche !


This folksy plaque depicts an alleged encounter between “Uncle” Uriah Skinner and the legendary “Sea Serpent” of Memphremagog. It was carved in 1934 by G. Ross Gustin who made sure to depict the old smuggler with his trademark flask protruding from his pocket!
