PERMANENT GALLERIES
Our permanent galleries (Paul Holland Knowlton Cabin, Old Academy, Martin Annex, and Fire Hall & Tower) are closed for the Winter Season.
Directions
The BCHS is located at 130, Rue Lakeside in the picturesque village of Knowlton (Quebec). Most GPS devices will be able to guide you to Museum.
From Montreal (approx. 1 hour):
- Take Highway 10 East to Exit 90 (Waterloo/Valcourt/Lac-Brome)
- Turn right on Chemin Foster/QC-243 South
- Continue on QC-243S for 8.1 km. The BCHS will be on your left.
From Sherbrooke (approx. 50mins):
- Take Highway 10 West to Exit 90 (Waterloo/Valcourt/Lac-Brome)
- Turn right on Chemin Foster/QC-243 South
- Continue on QC-243S for 8.1 km. The BCHS will be on your left.
From Burlington, VT (approx. 90mins):
- Take I-89 North
- Continue onto QC-133 N after crossing the Quebec/Vermont Border
- Turn right onto QC-202 E
- Turn right onto QC-104 E/QC-139 S
- Turn left onto Rue Lakeside/QC-243 N (signs for Highway 10/Waterloo). The BCHS will be on your right.

Parking
There are multiple free parking spots in front of the Brome County Historical Society on Chemin Lakeside. There are a few other additional spots available on Chemin St. Paul just around the corner in front of the Old Courthouse.
Accessibility
The BCHS is committed to providing an accessible environment for all. All of our buildings have step free access. Both the Old County Courthouse and the Centennial Building have access ramps.
