Letter 13

Letter 13: January 27, 1941

27/1/41

Dear Mother,

Just a short note to let you know I passed O.K. I’m enclosing the marks so you can see them. I stood 8th in the class in percentage, & first in maps & charts & D.R. Plotting.

We are due to leave for the Bombing & Gunnery School at Fingal, Ont., on either Friday or Saturday morning.

I was out to dinner yesterday with a lady & her daughter here in Regina. The girl is Russ Blackwood’s heart throb at present & he had told them I was here. At any rate it was an extremely enjoyable meal & afternoon. They are very very nice.

I marked the very important subjects with a tick. They are the ones considered vitally essential.
